Yes... it's a quote from The Matrix. And it is very dated. But it is still one on my favorite movie quotes. I always thought of it metaphorically as the world of appearances cannot tell you who you are. Nor can anything outside yourself, for that matter.

They say that one-third of the people we meet don't like us very much. One-third of people we meet naturally like us. And one-third really don't care much either way. Which do you focus on?
Many try to get the people that do not like them to like them. I do not recommend this. It is important to realize that them not liking you is not personal. It is not about you. It is a personality thing. They do not know who you are. It is just what you represent to them. They may not like people that are friendly. They may not like people that look like or have mannerisms like someone they did not like. It is not about you. Do not take it as a rejection. How can someone reject you- if they do not
You are attracting people to yourself all the time. Attraction is the most powerful way to find the relationships and team you need to create the things you want for yourself. Not necessarily physical attraction- although that could be involved. I am talking about someone being drawn to you energetically. Drawn to your personality. Drawn to the way you walk through life. Drawn to the way you say something.
These are the people that you are attracting to yourself. You may have had a thought or prayer or dream to have something in your life. You are now attracting people to help you accomplish that. And you will help them
