I recently finished reading Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson (here). Actually, I listened to it as an audio book (here) while I was driving. I highly recommend it if you've not read it. The timeline and history was fascinating and easily held my interest. I also walked away having learned a lot from the way he thought and approached life.
One of the things that stands out was his insistence on excellence. He would take his current project whether that was the Macintosh, iPod, iTunes, iPhone, or iPad and ruthlessly work with it until it felt right. He would not settle.
