Many times experiences that we thought were insignificant or even perceived failures or setbacks guide us to getting what we are after. Ever go one place and see something totally unexpected that fascinates you? If you are willing to explore it, it will often lead to something else which may in turn have a significant effect on your life. There is often a flow we can find that guides us from one thing to another.
There are many complex dynamics going on in the unfoldment of what we are after. Timing is critical. Your frustrating delay could be aligning the timing of things. We may have a painful experience provide a lesson that allows
The relationship that I was in ended yesterday. I really liked her. So naturally, I am sad. But I really feel good that I gave the relationship everything I had. I opened my heart and let it rip. And because of that, I have no regrets. I certainly made mistakes, but they were different mistakes than I made in the past- because I tried different things.
I am left with a different feeling than I have had before. I feel complete. And satisfied. And sad.

Ever notice how other people's fears don't make any sense? Sometimes we might feel like saying, "So what is the big deal about telling your friend that you are tired of doing all the work?" Well, to that person it is a big deal. It is their fear. Fears are irrational. You do not have the fear, so fearing it does not make sense to you.
Remember that they came by their fear honestly. They probably have the fear because someone they cared about hurt them in the past. Now they are wounded and irrational about that particular situation. They need compassion.
For the record, your fears probably do not make much sense
