Thank you for registering for the Summer Solstice Ceremonies.
This event wil start at 5pm on Wednesday, June 16. It is located at the Deer Creek camp area outside Sumpter Oregon, approximately 2 miles west of
Baker City on Hwy 7. We will have a sign up at the Hwy 7 turnoff.
I look forward to sitting in ceremony with you!
List of Suggested Things to Bring:
Tent
Tarp to put underneath tent
Sleeping bag & Pillow
Air mattress or Foam pad
Blanket for sitting on the ground outside during sweat lodges
Camp chair
Winter coat, Hat & gloves (typically 40 degrees at night)
Solid shoes for outings in nature to make sweat lodge and to be warm at night around fire
Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc… (Showers available in Sumpter for a fee)
There is a creek at campsite (it’s lovely, but very cold for bathing)
Cooler for your own food and drinks
Flashlight and or lantern
Snack food for personal use – fruit, veggies munchies food etc
Drinks: pop, juice, water etc.
Group Coffee and Ice Tea will be provided<
Coffee or tea mug
Several towels for Sweat Lodge & showers
Jackknife
Work gloves for handling wood if you have them or a tweezers if you don’t
Bug spray, sunscreen, hat
Drums and/or rattles if you have them.
Pets: Dogs are welcome if well behaved and it likes other dogs (please keep them out of cooking and eating area as needed & do not leave in camp unattended). Bring own dog food and water bowl for dog
Children: Are always welcome! They will change your experience as you will need to focus on them more and not as much on yourself. It will be a different experience not good or bad just different. They add a sweetness and innocence to the group.

Pruning tool for cutting willow for Sweat lodge poles
Old blanket for sweat lodge cover
Baked goods /other treats to share are always welcomed
Cooler for group food (If you have more than one and have room)
Sage to be used during ceremonies
This will be a Drug/Alcohol free gathering including medical marijuana
