Dimensional Inquiry

Dec 05, 2022

Video Summary:

I want to talk about another dimension of winter time which is the time of introspection on the medicine wheel or the wheel of life. The life energy of nature is going inside and into the ground. The animals are hibernating and going into the earth. The energy of the trees has moved from the leaves to the trunk and roots.

In the wintertime, nature is hibernating and dormant. Its movement and momentum have come to a stop. And that can happen for us because we can to tie into the energy of nature. It can be a little daunting thinking about what happens if your momentum and perspective of life stop for a while.

We have this way of seeing life. You could call it an operating system or maybe a paradigm, or perhaps a level of consciousness. I'm sure have had the way you see life change. Perhaps it's after a really significant event, such as giving birth to a child, having a loved one die, retiring, or getting married.

I sometimes call them existential changes in that our essential way of seeing things changes. The good news is we don't need to wait for this life-changing event to happen to do this. We can do this in the wintertime by just allowing ourselves to slow down and stand still for a while.

So when we're asking ourselves what matters, what you really want, and whether we’ve been allowing ourselves to have it, we may get near the edge of our reality, and start to find reasons that we can’t go beyond that.

Instead, you can stop the momentum of your life, drop down, and just allow yourself to dream. You can allow yourself to see beyond your limitations and see what happens. It can get a little scary, so be compassionate with yourself and realize you might feel a little disoriented.

And then sometimes what happens is we can drop down into a new dimension, and if we like it, we can go back there. And then we can move into a new level of consciousness, a new dimension of being. But that's over time. This is just the beginning. This is just an exercise to have a truly free daydream.
