Engage People

Mar 07, 2022

Video Summary:

So I want to talk about engaging people for the purpose of connection. By engaging, I mean reaching out to them and initiating an interaction with them. It’s being vulnerable and saying, “Hey, how's it going?”

People are generally wary when someone reaches out to them. They’re often in their own world and not used to it. So their initial response may be, “What does this person want from me?” And the only way they're going to be able to tell that is from our energy. So we need to set an intention of, “The only thing I want is to connect with you.”

The best energy I know for this is that of the inquisitive mind. It’s the innate curiosity of just wanting to know something for its own sake. And then you extend that to the person you're engaging. It's allowing yourself to be fascinated with something about them. So it starts by finding something about them that you are sincerely interested in.

Engaging people is a form of sharing your connection with people. Say you have a really good yoga class in the morning, and you're in a good mood, why not share that cool energy with people?

What do you think?
